Translation (hr)	Bogu, najboljem, najvećem. Kosti mučenika Lovre (?), donesene iz Rima od strane Bartirome (?), koje je pribavio biskup Corniani i poslao biskupu Trsta, ukrašene sredstvima zajednice, časte se na temelju dokumenata javnog bilježnika Niccolòa Florelija i dokumenata zamjenika Caraee (?). Kako ovo ne bi palo u zaborav, 7. prosinca 1661. godine, općina Šišan, zahvalnoga duha, postavila je ovaj spomenik u vrijeme arhiprezbitera Lorenza Urbana iz Vodnjana.
Translation (en)	To God, the most good, the most great. The bones of martyr Lawrence(?), brought from Rome by Bartiroma(?), obtained by bishop Corniani and sent to the bishop of Trieste adorned by money of the community, are venerated on the basis of the documents by ... notary Niccolò Floreli and documents by deputy Caraea(?). Lest this vanishes from memory, on 7th of December 1661, the community of Šišan, with grateful spirit, placed this monument in the time of archpriest Lorenzo Urbano of Vodnjan.

Notes	The inscription is embedded in the wall near the entrance to the sacristy. The plaque is rectangular with a single-profiled edge. The engraved letters are painted black, although in some places the paint has worn off. The text is written in small capitals with every word starting with a taller letter. Final 'S' in 'COMMVNITATIS', 'DOCVMENTIS' and 'COMMVNITAS', 'R' in 'VENERANTUR' and 'O' in 'LAVRENTIO' are superscript. The year is written in a curious mixture of Roman and Arabic numerals.
