Translation (hr) | To God, the most good, the most great. This church, whose first stone was laid by Giulio Saraceno of Vicenza, bishop of Pula, was consecrated in honour of Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel by Bernardo Corniani of Venice, bishop of Pula, as wel as, in the same day, three altars, of Saint Mary of Mount Carmel, of Saint Mark and of Saint Sebastian, at the petition of reverend sir Niccolò Tarvisini, chaplain(?), the most excelent sir Giovanni de Bachiochi of Muggia, medical doctor, and sir Domenico Veneruti(?), consellors; he also gave the usual indulgences. On Wednesday, May 21, 1664. |
