Translation (en)	Grave of Saint Euphemia, brought in the year 800, on July 13, from Chalcedonia to the foot of this hill by the pious sea storm, received in the heart of the hill, carried to the top by two heifers. The sea was of stone, stone was soft, to cattle the yoke was easy and the burden was light. Here it is venerated as a true gem, protection, felicity and divine item of the inhabitants of Rovinj. Placed by Daniele Balbi, podestate. 1680.

Notes	The text is left and right justified. The letters are painted in black, teh fild is in dirty uneven white and brown colour. The script is small capitals, with large initials. a) The lines in 'D' are separated (IↃ). b) The picture is placed in the middle of the last two lines, between 'Balbi' and 'Praetor', and 'C' and 'L'.
